A Dadbod Is Not An Inevitability

Now is the time to get dad fit, not a dadbod!

The Balanced Approach

Getting Dad Fit isn’t about impossible diets, spending hours in the gym, or selling the latest fads; it’s a personal, honest, and objective look at my own nutrition, exercise, mental health, and impact of my lifestyle. I’ll try to get rid of, and keep off, the dreaded dadbod whilst still trying to enjoy life.  It may sound like a cliché, but it really is all about balance, and hopefully you can learn from my mistakes and be inspired by my successes.

Consistency is key. Getting the training right is key to achieving your goals, but consistency is by far the quickest way to ensure success. Whether you lift, run, or just get active with friends or family, do it regularly and you’re half way there.

Finding life balance is the hardest thing in the world. Getting enough sleep, eliminating stress, and being at peace with who you are and where you fit in the world is easier said than done, but finding a way to do these things will infinitely improve your chances of wellness.

What we eat and drink can have a direct effect on our mental health, mood, energy levels, and body composition. There’s no such thing as a one size fits all diet plan, what works for one person may not work for another. Test and adjust and be willing to have an open mind, and you may just surprise yourself at what is effective for you.
